WAP

WAP and wml stuff is gunna be big!

But the size is very small (95x45 pixels). Great for small bitmap fonts!! I designed another Montreal Metro site, this time in wml. Go to Metro for use on a Palm. You just need ImageViewer III to look at it.

Encoding

It looks like I'm going to have to re-encode my fonts. PalmOS uses Windows encoding, with a couple of additional characters. It should be quite easy to do, but a little time consuming. Ah well...

You also can't include any additional characters outside of the standard encoding. Palm just wont read them as a font otherwise.

There are special characters used for the tablet at 157 and 158. If you look at the menu on the Palm on the first page of this site, you'll see the kind of "pen" character. That's at 157. The other one is more of a loop, but I'm not sure what it's used for, because I'm a Palm newbie.

Leading

It also seems that the fonts I've converted get a lot of strange debris underneath them unless the "leading" is set to 0 in the font design program. Will check that out more later.
